ABSTRACT ALCOHOL INK LANDSCAPES

Explore alcohol ink and its application in painting to create a one-of-a-kind fluid landscape-inspired artwork on Yupo paper. We will layer inks and let gravity drip, drop, and flow to create bold and vivid segments, focusing on color combinations and their use to define compositional space. We will use inks to describe the natural world's atmospheric properties, emphasizing natural mountainscapes, valleys, sky, and land created with organic drips and color blocking.

Students will practice before moving on to a finished composition, which we will matte to fit an 11x14 frame.
