evergreen forest natural wood painting

PAINT A BEAUTIFUL EVERGREEN SCENE ON A NATURAL WOOD SLICE, HIGHLIGHTING THE DEEP GREENS OF A WINTER FOREST.
Inspired by the greenery of the woods, we will compose a lush green landscape painting. We will focus on layering tonal greens, blending out, and using water to create a "faux watercolor" effect in acrylic paint. Students will paint on a 10” Natural Wood Slice with a raw edge.
(Each slice will vary slightly in shape and size.)*
Students will learn various tree shapes and strokes throughout the class.
This class is a great building block for those students who have taken beginning painting classes and are interested in exploring compositional planning.
Level:
Though this is a beginner-friendly class, it is excellent for those who consider themselves at the intermediate level, have a basic understanding of brush control, and would like to push toward a more detailed, planned, and advanced composition!
