EXPRESSIVE BIRDS IN WATERCOLOR

Join me as we explore one of expressive Watercolor's best subjects, Birds! In this class, we will build on students' foundational understanding of Watercolor to compose a collection of gestural and textural colorful feathers and wings. Our focus will be on capturing the essence of our subject with a quick gestural sketch, building the base of our shapes with our brush, and delicate finishing details to bring your bird to life. Bring to life subjects like the Parakeet, Hummingbird and more!

Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!

Students are encouraged to bring a photograph of their favorite bird as a reference!

Students should have a basic understanding of wet on wet painting, layering, and color blending. This class is recommended for intermediate-level students, though beginners are more than welcome to join!
