FLORALS 101 • A BASICS COURSE IN WATERCOLOR

May 18th + May 25th • 6:00pm -8:00pm

Celebrate May flowers and join me in this two-week series!

This introductory series will break down the basics of greenery and loose floral shapes. We will build a strong foundation for creating gestural stems, leaves, and greens with our brush in week one. In week two, learn how to paint from life to compose expressive roses, daisies, ranunculus, and more! Our focus will be on repetitive movement, practice, and brushwork that we can use toward a small composition at the end of our series. Floral Basics is an excellent workshop for those students who would like the foundation to create loose floral shapes and build the confidence to use these foundational skills to move to finished compositional paintings from life!

Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!

EXPERIENCE: This class is structured for beginners but is also a great option for intermediate students to build off their previous knowledge and build their practice.
