Geodes & Agate in WATERCOLOR

Geodes and Agates are great subjects to express the beauty of a wet-on-wet painting.
Focusing on the rings and crystal-like rims of these oval-shaped stones, we can master brush control, bleed, and the use of salt to create beautiful texture within watercolor.
We will focus on fun color combinations, wet-on-wet blending, and the importance of layering and negative space in illustrative painting.
Students will work with warm-up exercises to get comfortable with technquies and work toward a completed 8x10 piece.
