ILLUSTRATIVE HOUSE PORTRAITS IN WATERCOLOR

March 29th • 6:30pm -8:30pm

Build on your foundational watercolor practice and work toward a personal illustrative architectural subject, house portraits! Working from a personal photo, students will construct a gestural house line sketch, transfer and finalize with micron pens and use Watercolor to bring our illustrations to life with color and texture.

We will break down the compositional drawing, talk transfer and practice different watercolor elements to create cohesive and balanced artwork. We will be working toward an 8x10 final painting.

Recommend for intermediate level students or those comfortable with color mixing, brush control and feel comfortable with some basic drawing practices.

Students are responsible for providing a house reference photo to work from- the paper should be no larger than 8.5'x11"
