intermediate floral compositions IN WATERCOLOR
february 7th • 6:00pm -8:00pm
There is so much to learn in the world of floral watercolor painting! Build on our foundational floral painting techniques and advance to the intermediate level.
Our class will focus on building our composition and working with painting aids like masking fluid and inks to create a floral bouquet from life.
Students must bring a photo reference of a flower arrangement that inspires them.
During class, we will discuss compositional practices, working from wet-on-wet background to a detailed foreground, and the final details needed to finish your painting.
This class is a great building block for those students who have taken Floral Roses, Leaves and Greens, Peonies, or any beginner floral workshop or feel like they are moving toward the intermediate level!
Students should feel comfortable with basic floral shapes and understand color mixing and brush control. We will not be spending time on specific florals but working toward a more finished and detailed 11x14 painting.
Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!
