Taking florals to the next step IN WATERCOLOR : Intermediate series
june 13th, 20th, & 27th • 6:00pm -8:00pm
In this three-week intermediate series, build on your floral painting practice! This mid-level series will build on the basics covered in previous beginner-level floral classes taught with LaCott Fine Art and focus on specific florals each week, with a concentration on floral shapes and expressive details in week one, working with white florals in week two and compositional planning and a final studio floral still life painting in our last session.
Our classes will center around repetitive movement, practice, and brushwork that we can use toward our final lesson composition. Taking Florals to the Next Step is an excellent workshop for those students who want to build off their foundational practices to create a finished floral study composition and build the confidence to move toward finished Watercolor floral paintings.
Students must bring a photo reference of a flower arrangement that inspires them.
During class, we will discuss compositional practices, working from wet-on-wet background to a detailed foreground, and the final details needed to finish your painting.

This class is a great building block for those students who have taken Floral Roses, Leaves and Greens, Peonies, or any beginner floral workshop or feel like they are moving toward the intermediate level! Students should feel comfortable with basic floral shapes and understand color mixing and brush control.
Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!
