Explore one of the most luscious landscapes in the world, the Irish countryside.
In this class, inspired by the beauty of the terraced green farmland, we will paint this landscape through expressive and gestural watercolor strokes and layering. This practice is excellent for those students looking to build on the foundational understanding of Watercolor to compose a collection of gestural and textural representations of life from their travels or preparation for a larger body of work. Our focus will be on capturing the essence of our subject with a quick gestural sketch, building the base of our shapes with our brush, and delicate finishing details to bring the countryside to life in an 8x10 painting.
