FLORAL PATTERNS • LOOSE ROSES IN WATERCOLOR
MARCH 22nd • 6:00pm -8:00pm
There is so much to learn in the world of floral watercolor painting! This class will break down the foundational techniques for creating loose roses in a cluster "repeated" pattern. We will explore the shapes, strokes, and greenery details to make our roses come alive and help to fill in our compositional space. To achieve a more detailed work, we will talk about your brush and paint application, foundational brush strokes, pressure, and directionality.
Loose Roses is a beginner-friendly class, though it is excellent for those who consider themselves at the intermediate level, have a basic understanding of brush control and floral shapes, and would like to push toward a more detailed, planned, and advanced composition!
Students will work with warm-up exercises perfect for continued practice and work toward a completed 8x10 compositional painting.
Students will receive a workbook to follow along with the instructor during the class!
