MIXED MEDIA LANDSCAPES

Explore the mediums of watercolor painting and collage in this abstract landscape workshop. Students will blend the techniques of Watercolor to create backgrounds, collage to create depth and shape with various colored paper, and line work to create more refined detail and interest on our painting with pastels, markers, and more. We will break down the composition of a landscape and how shape, color, and a line can create an atmosphere outside of the realistic representation.

If students have interesting papers or textures they would like to bring to incorporate into their painting they are encouraged to do so. A exciting landscape reference focusing on color combinations is also encouraged.
