Celebrate the flower of the season and deep dive into the iconic bloom of the Peony flower in this beginner-friendly Watercolor workshop!

Join me in building on our foundational floral painting techniques to create a loose Peonies cluster composition. We will explore the shapes, strokes, and greenery details to express the Peony flower from bud to bloom! We will discuss foundational brush strokes, pressure, and directionality of your brush and paint application types to achieve a more detailed work.

Students will work with warm-up exercises in loading their brush, working with water to adjust tone and intensity, and petal shape repetition exercises. Students will receive a workbook to follow with the instructor during the class! We will work toward a completed compositional 8" x 10" painting.

EXPERIENCE: This class is suitable for beginners but is also an excellent option for intermediate students to build off their previous knowledge and have taken floral-themed courses with me before.

We will focus on the Peony's petal shape and accompanying stems and greens.
