Create the look, texture, and feel of a realistic, lifelike cactus that will last you forever! Join Laura of LaCott Fine Art in this three-week sculptural series. We will be drawing inspiration from the Prickly Pear, Saguaro, and Cereus cacti to construct our own Faux larger than life potted, hand-painted cacti!

We will be working with common household materials like pool noodles, spray foam, rigid insulation foam, and plaster. We will achieve details with hundreds of toothpicks, white acrylic caulking, and brush bristles tricking you into believing what you made is a real plant.

Students will be working on two finished cacti and should provide the pot or vessel you would like them to stay. Our recommendation for pot size is both a small (4-6') and large (8-12").
