Sunflowers in Watercolor: A Fall Floral Study
Sunflowers in Watercolor: A Fall Floral Study
September 16th, 2023 • 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM
As we welcome fall, we will explore another watercolor floral study of the sunflower!
Our class will focus on mastering the radial shape of sunflowers and the cluster of petals around their iconic center. We will work with minimal floral sketches and a limited color palette, focusing on creating a sunflower study of a single flower and its leaves while capturing its essence.
We will discuss layering, glazing, and detail driven by illustrative watercolor painting during class. Students will work with warm-up exercises and work toward a completed 8x10 floral study to take home!
Students will receive a workbook to follow with the instructor during the class!
This class is a great building block for those students who have taken beginning floral watercolor classes and are interested in exploring a new floral in Watercolor painting.
