Expressive tulips in ink

Play with Acrylic & India Inks as a form of Watercolor in this expressive floral class. We will focus on the tulip flower and creating "loose" blooms, buds, and greenery.
Our class will focus on mastering water and how to use these highly pigmented inks to create blurred backgrounds and color blending, the properties of drying, and the differences between layered when dry and traditional watercolor practices.
We will work with gestural strokes and repetitive tricks to master loose petal shapes and truly play with detail in a wet-on-wet painting.
Students will work with warm-up exercises, discuss what makes a compelling painting, and work toward a completed 11x14 piece!
Students will be in control of the color palette of their composition.
