Mini Bouquets in Watercolor: mother’s Day Workshop with wildroot floral
May 11th
Our class will focus on mastering the shape and texture of roses, tulips, and ranunculus in a simple "bouquet" compositional study. We will work with gestural strokes and repetitive tricks to master loose petal shapes.
During class, we will discuss building a floral-focused composition centered around three main flower elements. Students will practice making roses, tulips, and ranunculus from their bouquets and use that inspiration for their paintings. We will create sketches of our central flowers, stems, and greens. We will discuss finishing details, textures, and marks you can make with simple supplies!
Students will work toward a completed mini 6×9 piece! We will work with a warm color palette of pinks, oranges, muted creams, and greens.
Students will pick and design their bouquets to paint during class, provided by WildRoot Floral from their shop during the Niagara Street Mother's Day Market.
You will have a choice of (3) Roses, (2) Ranunculus, (2) Tulips, and (2) filler greens.

Session One • 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
