Build a custom Easter Bouquet and learn how to paint a loose floral composition of Roses, Tulips, and Ranunculus. 

Our class will focus on mastering the shape and texture of these three florals, both blooming and as buds, in a loose compositional study. We will work with gestural strokes and repetitive tricks to master loose petal shapes.

During class, we will discuss layering, working from wet-on-wet background to a detailed foreground, and textures and marks you can make with simple supplies! Students will work with warm-up exercises breaking down how to paint each flower, what makes a compelling painting, and work toward a completed 8x10 piece! Students will be in control of the color palette of their composition.

Students will pick and design their easter bouquets to paint during class provided by WildRoot Floral. You will have a choice of Roses, Ranunculus, Tulips, and filler greens, and WildRoot will determine quantities. 

Students will receive a workbook to follow with the instructor during the class!

This class is a great building block for those students who have taken beginning watercolor classes and are interested in learning specific florals. 

Level:

Though this is a beginner-friendly class, it is excellent for those who consider themselves at the intermediate level and have a basic understanding of brush control and the power of wet-on-wet painting and would like to push toward a more detailed, planned, planned, and advanced composition!

Age:

This class is appropriate for ages 21+.

Supplies:

All supplies needed for this class are included in the $65 ticket price.

Students will pick and design their easter bouquets to paint during class. Students will choose their florals at 10:30 AM at WildRoot Floral (next door to TwinPretzels). You will have a choice of Roses, Ranunculus, Tulips, and filler greens, and WildRoot will determine quantities. This build-your-own bouquet has a value of 35 dollars. The flowers you choose are yours to take with you at the end of class.
