Seasonal Fall Wreaths in Watercolor
Seasonal Fall Wreaths in Watercolor
November, 2nd 2024 • 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM
Capture the essence of Fall as inspiration for this illustrative seasonal wreath watercolor workshop!
Our class will focus on mastering fall leaves' many shapes, sizes, and colors and creating interesting foliage groupings. We will create a custom wreath with repeating foliage patterns and a limited color palette.
We will discuss layering, glazing, and detail driven by illustrative watercolor painting during class. Students will leave with a basic understanding of building a composition, mapping out our watercolor elements to compose our wreath, and practicing the different components to create a cohesive and balanced artwork. Students will work with warm-up exercises toward a completed 8x10 floral study to take home!
Students will learn various leaves, strokes, and watercolor elements throughout the class.
Students will receive a workbook to follow with the instructor during the class!
This class is a great building block for those students who have taken beginning floral watercolor classes and are interested in exploring compositional planning and illustrative Watercolor painting.

Though this is a beginner-friendly class, it is excellent for intermediate students who have a basic understanding of brush control and the power of wet-on-dry painting and would like to push toward a more detailed, planned, and advanced composition!
